The 2nd Guankeng Taiwan Coffee Festival Opens for 2 Days – Sample Authentic Taiwanese Coffee

The Taiwan Coffee Festival will be held every Saturday and Sunday from the 2nd to the 24th, taking place in Guankeng, Yunlin. The event will feature a variety of exciting activities, street performances, and coffee markets. Now in its 11th year, the festival continues to highlight the true essence of Taiwanese coffee, aiming to attract more visitors to discover and experience the high-quality local brews.

Event venues include Guankeng Huashan Elementary School, Huashan Coffee Street, Hebao Workstation, and Guankeng Green Tunnel. Huashan Coffee Street will host the Taiwan Coffee Carnival, where visitors can immerse themselves in a rich coffee atmosphere, enjoy a coffee market, street graffiti art, performances by buskers, and exchange coffee-themed gifts and more. Huashan Elementary School will feature the “Taiwan Coffee Farmers’ Academy,” offering guided explanations about the life cycle of coffee and hands-on DIY experiences with coffee-related items to help attendees learn more about coffee.

The renowned Guankeng coffee from Yunlin’s Guankeng area is praised as the “homeland of Taiwanese coffee.” It is said to have been introduced to Taiwan as early as during the Qing Dynasty or even the Japanese colonial period. The coffee beans are of the Arabica variety and are proudly 100% locally produced.
