The Lover's Tower at Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf Reopens; Free Rides Available on the Morning of the 3rd

The Lover's Tower, standing approximately 100 meters tall, is one of Tamsui’s iconic landmarks. However, after an incident where the elevator got stuck in mid-air for nine hours, the Fullon Hotel has re-evaluated its emergency response measures. The New Taipei City Government inspected and approved the reopening on November 1st, and the Fullon Hotel will offer free rides on the morning of the 3rd as a promotional offer.

The Fullon Hotel stated that after the elevator breakdown on October 15th, the hotel conducted a thorough review. In addition to adding cold-proof facilities and portable toilets, maintenance work included installing descent devices on seven platforms inside the tower. The overall emergency response process was approved by the city government before reopening was permitted.

To regain consumer confidence, the Lover's Tower at the Fullon Hotel will offer free rides from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the 3rd. Although rides will no longer be free after 12:00 PM, visitors who ride the Lover's Tower can present their ticket stubs to enjoy a 10% discount at a restaurant within the hotel.
