Last updated 2026-09-25 — The “Butcher’s Kitchen,” which has a very American diner vibe, focuses on large cuts of American beef — absolutely perfect for Mi’er’s taste buds!* Since it doesn’t use expensive wagyu beef, the prices aren’t too steep, allowing guests to enjoy pure, hearty flavors in generous portions. In addition to steaks, their burgers, fries, salads, and grilled seafood are all standout dishes. No wonder two different groups of friends wanted to meet up with Mi’er here!!

Mi’er isn’t one for crowded places, so during the Taipei Expo, she only entered the Flower Exhibition Hall once for work — and left quickly without even exploring. Who would’ve thought that the vast area connecting the former Flower Exhibition Hall and the old Zhongshan Football Stadium, after being meticulously planned by renowned designers Ye Yuching and Fan Jiang along with celebrity Harlem Yu, would transform into today’s “Foodie Playground”? It’s a leisure plaza that combines dining, a market, and cultural shops. It houses several well-known restaurants such as Good Cho’s, Tenmeian, and the UK’s Three Lions, plus unique brands like Brick (which centers around LEGO bricks), indigenous cuisine, Thai food, and more.

With so many eateries, it’s impossible to try them all. But interestingly, before Mi’er even visited for the first time, a friend had already planned to meet her at the same restaurant. Not knowing the name, both groups told Mi’er, “the place that sells steak and burgers.” At first, she thought there were two different places, but it turned out they were both referring to the “Butcher’s Kitchen BUTCHER'S KITCHEN.”

The “Butcher’s Kitchen,” with its very American diner style, focuses on large cuts of American beef — absolutely perfect for Mi’er’s taste buds!* Since it doesn’t use expensive wagyu beef, the prices aren’t too steep, allowing guests to enjoy pure, hearty flavors in generous portions. In addition to steaks, their burgers, fries, salads, and grilled seafood are all standout dishes. No wonder two different groups of friends wanted to meet up with Mi’er here!!

The giant burger was super juicy when bitten into, and you can choose fries or fried veggies as sides. I opted for the fried veggies to keep it a bit lighter. The burger didn’t need extra sauce — it was already flavorful — though the portion is quite big!!

Mini burgers, sold as a set of three. Though small, the meat inside is still juicy and delicious.

Fried seafood platter, including squid, shrimp, sardines, etc. The batter had a nice flavor, but I’m not a huge fan of this kind of bar snack... haha!!

Onion soup was rich and flavorful, with sweet onions — cooked just right. Though for me, the onions were a bit too sweet.

Their homemade bread also gets great reviews, but I couldn’t even finish it.

Since they have tomahawk steaks, they also offer tomahawk pork chops, though of course not as large as the beef version. These pork chops were tender and flavorful, with retained elasticity in the meat — really satisfying to bite into.

Seeing this signboard, how could Mi’er pass up the tomahawk steak?

We heard our tomahawk steak was being cooked, and everyone rushed to the kitchen to watch the chef handle the massive cut.

It was seriously huge!! haha!! Naturally, the aroma while it was being seared was amazing!! That distinctive scent of American beef!!

After searing, the steak goes into the oven for another 40 minutes — and this is what it looks like when it comes out!!

Because the steak is so large, Mi’er took on the job of slicing it up!!

Doesn’t the sliced steak look beautifully carved? haha!! Of course, the chef’s grilling skills are also top-notch — the inside is still tender and juicy. Too bad there wasn’t enough resting time, so juices kept seeping out.(Left photo)~ Fried pig ears — apparently a signature dish here, but on that day, both attempts at frying them didn’t turn out well.(Right photo)~~

Grilled seafood platter, very generous selection!! But really hard to photograph. As for the taste — I was too full that day and didn’t even try any of it.

Red wine braised offal (if I remember the name correctly). The slow-cooked innards were all tender and flavorful, but the seasoning leaned a bit sweet — tasted a bit like sweetened red-braised beef, which I didn’t really enjoy.

Cute signboard!!

Open seating area at the entrance — must be comfy to sit in during spring and autumn.

Maybe this sign makes people think it’s just a burger joint!! haha!!

Interior — it’s actually not very big.

Open kitchen, where you can clearly see the chefs at work.
