After the unexpected "demise" of the Taoyuan little yellow duck, the Kaohsiung duck is currently standing in temporarily and making its debut as a "land duck." However, the original creator, Florentijn Hofman, insists that the duck should return to the water as soon as possible. The Taoyuan County Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that they are actively testing the land-displayed duck. If the inflation test goes well and weather conditions allow, the duck may return to the water for a swim this afternoon (the 3rd).

The Cultural Affairs Bureau mentioned earlier at a press conference that since the duck’s explosion was an unexpected incident, Hofman agreed to let the Kaohsiung duck serve as a "stand-in" and permitted the land display. However, he repeatedly emphasized the importance of getting the duck back into the water as soon as possible, "swimming in Taoyuan’s beautiful ponds." The bureau pointed out that the most crucial factor now is the weather. Once professionals give the green light, the duck could return to the pond as early as this afternoon.
