See pandas strolling through flower fields: The stunning white chrysanthemum sea in Tongluo, Miaoli

As deep autumn arrives, the chrysanthemums in Tongluo, Miaoli are in full bloom. The chrysanthemum sea spreads across terraced fields, creating a breathtaking snowy mountain-like view from afar. The Tongluo Farmers' Association has specially created panda installations named "Yuanyuan" and "Yuanzai," attracting many visitors to stop and take photos. In addition to white and yellow chrysanthemums, the surrounding fields of Jiuhu Leisure Agriculture Area—where the flower sea is located—are also dotted with colorful daisies. The blooming period lasts until early December.

Jiuhu Village in Tongluo Township is situated on a plateau and enjoys ample sunlight, making it an ideal environment for chrysanthemum cultivation. It is Taiwan’s largest chrysanthemum production area, yielding approximately 20,000 to 30,000 dan (a traditional unit equivalent to 60 kg) per year, with November marking the peak flowering period. According to the Tongluo Farmers' Association, this year’s chrysanthemums come in three colors: white, gold, and pink, covering a total area of about 18 hectares. Other blooms such as cosmos, sunflowers, and zinnias span over 20 hectares. The vast expanse of floral beauty is sure to impress visitors.

The county government reports that the flower season has already attracted over 50,000 visitors. Nearby attractions in Tongluo, including the Hakka Cultural Park, Hakka Grand Courtyard, and Tongluo Interchange, are all open, making travel to the area more convenient. To complement the flower season, the Farmers' Association has also introduced a variety of processed chrysanthemum-related agricultural products, foods, and teas for purchase. These items are stamped with the official chrysanthemum group label, ensuring visitors need not worry about product hygiene or safety.
