New Taipei City Hot Spring Food Festival – Great Deals & Affordable Soaking, Starting at Just NT$50

As the weather gets colder, it becomes the perfect time to enjoy a comfortable soak in the hot springs. Pairing that with delicious food makes for one of winter’s greatest joys.

The first wave of the “2013 New Taipei City Hot Spring Food Festival” organized by the New Taipei City Government takes an urban slow-living theme, bringing together 66 businesses to offer bundled “hot spring + gourmet” deals. Then, on November 20th, a special “Warm Moments Limited Day” campaign with 16 participating businesses will follow.

The New Taipei City Tourism Bureau stated that the “Warm Moments Limited Day” event will run for three weeks starting November 25th. During this period, visitors who head to the designated “Star of the Day” hot spring can be among the first 100 to experience either the “Slow Living Feast” or the “Winter Fun” package. These participants will get to play a game to win a “Premium Discount Card”. This card grants access to next-time discounts such as up to 50% off hot spring accommodations and entry for just NT$50.
The Wulai District Tourism Development Association in New Taipei City will also launch the “2013 Wulai Lidong Hot Spring Food Carnival” on November 30th. In addition to promotional offers and lucky draws at participating shops, the event will introduce limited-edition nature tours such as “Inner Cave Forest Breathing” and “Fushan Fish Watching Fun”, with Atayal singer Yeh Guanhua serving as the spokesperson. The bureau also pointed out that due to Wulai’s unique terrain, some hidden scenic spots are better accessed by bike or on foot. The “Fushan Leisure Ride” bicycle tour held every Saturday at the Wulai Waterfall Visitor Center or the “Fushan Atayal Tribal Ecology & Cultural Education Experience Group” held every Sunday are both great ways to explore Wulai.
