Rest and Recovery: Yushan National Park Enters Quiet Mountain Period in February 2014

Attention hikers planning to apply for entry into the Yushan mountain area next year (2014)! To allow the park’s ecosystem to rest and recover, and to reduce the impact of human activities on the natural environment, Yushan National Park will implement a one-month quiet mountain period starting February 1 of next year. During this time, all entry activities on the Yushan Main Peak and Cluster Peaks routes will be suspended.
The management office also announced that lodging applications for Paiyun Lodge and Yuanshan Camping Site within the area will be accepted only up to January 30, 2014, in coordination with the quiet mountain operations.
