You can now use your 3C devices throughout the entire flight with 3C mode enabled – Hawaiian Airlines lifts restrictions on Taipei–Honolulu flights

Hawaiian Airlines (Hawaiian Airlines), which made its inaugural flight in Taiwan just this July, has announced that as long as your device is set to “Airplane Mode,” you can now use your personal phone or tablet on board during the entire U.S. domestic flight as well as during takeoff and landing on some international routes — including the Taipei–Honolulu flight.

Hawaiian Airlines has announced it has completed the application process with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. This includes its Airbus 330-200 (the aircraft used for the direct Taipei–Honolulu route), Boeing 767-300, and Boeing 717-200, all of which now allow the use of smartphones, tablets, e-readers, music players, and other small electronic devices.

Hawaiian Airlines made its first-ever flight between Taiwan and Honolulu this July. The airline, which has been in operation for 84 years, has rapidly expanded its Asian destinations in recent years, including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. It has received the “Best On-Time Performance in the U.S.” award for nine consecutive years and has also been recognized for having the “Lowest Flight Cancellation Rate.”
