The Happy Christmas Town adds another market – New Taipei City’s Christmas Market opens on the 29th

New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town is getting another Christmas market! The Civic Square will transform into a festive Christmas market from the 29th to December 1st, featuring 120 stalls. There will also be daily limited-time giveaways, one-dollar auctions, and other promotional deals. The market will be divided into three major themed areas: specialty shopping streets, tourist factories, and New Taipei gifts. Plus, spend NT$500 in a single day and you can receive a “Limited Edition New Taipei Christmas Bottle & Clothes Set.”

The event will also feature a massive 9m-by-9m Christmas-themed Monopoly challenge game and a stamp-collecting treasure hunt activity. Those who spend NT$500 in a single day will not only get a limited run of 1,500 “Limited Edition New Taipei Christmas Bottle & Clothes Sets,” but will also receive raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes such as smartphones and bicycles.

The Christmas market will be open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Ye Hui-ching, Director of New Taipei City’s Department of Economic Development, stated that this year 20 shopping districts’ specialty products and tourist factory goods have been specially “brought” to Civic Square. In addition to shopping and browsing, visitors can also experience the diverse characteristics of New Taipei City.
