Does England have rainforests? A forest resort builds a subtropical swimming pool

The UK’s “Center Parcs,” which focuses on forest vacations, has built four resorts over the past 26 years since its opening. The fifth one, “Woburn Forest,” is set to open next January, aiming to “bring” a subtropical rainforest to Europe—allowing people to swim safely and warmly in the wild without having to travel all the way to Southeast Asia.

Located in Bedfordshire,Woburn Foresit is just an hour’s drive from central London. The resort features three major attractions: a lazy river, a water adventure family area, and a whitewater rafting course, catering to guests of all ages. Center Parcs hopes that the opening of Woburn Forest will showcase its evolution and innovation over the past decade.
