15-cm King Prawns at Triumph Night Market – Enjoy the Crunchy Crust, Melted Cheese, and Tender Meat in One Bite

At Kaohsiung’s Triumph Night Market, “Crazy Seafood Delights” serves over 15-cm-long “Cheesy King Prawns” and “Cod Roe Chicken Drumsticks,” with options like ketchup, Thai sauce, honey mustard, pepper, and spicy flavors. The crispy outer shell encases melted cheese between the coating and the meat — one bite releases a burst of sauce, crust, cheese, and juicy meat, creating a multi-layered texture from the outside in.

With their striking length and appetizing color, these items are almost too mouthwatering to resist — and they’re quite heavy to hold, too. Both the giant prawns and chicken drumsticks at “Crazy Seafood Delights” are priced at NT$55 each, with a special deal of two for NT$100. The owner says the Thai sauce and honey mustard are both highly recommended for their unique flavors, and notes that the prawns are made using whole shrimp specially prepared for the dish.

Known as Taiwan’s largest night market for tourism, Triumph Night Market has a distinctive feature where its stalls are named after streets in Kaohsiung, such as Triumph Road, Yixin Road, Ersheng, Sanduo... all the way to Shiquan Road and ending with Mingcheng Road. “Crazy Seafood Delights” is located on Triumph Road, near the end of the street.
