Vanilla Air to Launch Ticket Sales: One-Way Taipei–Tokyo Flights for Just NT$388

Japan-based Vanilla Air announced on November 28 that it will officially begin selling winter flight tickets in Taiwan starting at 14:00 on December 4, with flights commencing on December 20. To celebrate the launch of ticket sales in Taiwan, the airline has simultaneously launched a limited-time promotional campaign called “Heartfelt Vanilla,” offering special one-way Taipei–Tokyo tickets for just NT$388 (tax excluded), with round-trip fares including taxes starting from as low as NT$1,888. The sale runs from14:00 on December 4 to 13:59 on December 5, with only 1,000 tickets available and sales ending once they are sold out.

Vanilla Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ANA All Nippon Airways, based at Tokyo Narita Airport. Following the launch of its Taipei–Tokyo and Tokyo–Okinawa routes on December 20, the airline will also commence flights on the Tokyo–Sapporo route on January 29, 2014, and the Tokyo–Seoul route on March 1.

Vanilla Air offers three types of fare classes: “Original Vanilla,” “Colorful Vanilla,” and “Heartfelt Vanilla.” Among these, the “Group Deal” option is available for both Original Vanilla and Colorful Vanilla, offering a 10% discount for groups of four or more.

The Original Vanilla one-way fare for Taipei–Tokyo starts from NT$3,000, allows date changes (with a NT$600 fee) but does not permit refunds. This fare includes checked baggage up to 20 kg, while other services must be purchased separately or incur additional fees.

The Colorful Vanilla one-way fare for Taipei–Tokyo starts from NT$3,750, includes checked baggage up to 20 kg, allows pre-selection of seats/RELAX seats (no extra charge), and permits ticket changes and refunds (with applicable fees: NT$150 for date changes, NT$900 for refunds).

Heartfelt Vanilla, on the other hand, is a limited-time promotional fare released irregularly.All services come at an additional cost, and no refunds are allowed.
