All-inclusive dining and accommodation: Five-star hotel offers presidential suite "premium New Year’s Eve gathering"

As the year-end approaches and the business of festive reunion dinners heats up, hotel operators are targeting this wave of demand by rolling out new dishes to attract customers. In addition to various takeout reunion dinner options for those who prefer celebrating at home,some five-star hotels are promoting an all-inclusive experience in presidential suites for a "premium New Year’s Eve gathering."

Taipei Westin Hotel has launched its first-ever “Suite New Year’s Eve All-Inclusive Package,”allowing guests to enjoy a New Year’s Eve dinner featuring ingredients such as lobster and abalone in either the presidential suite—previously stayed in by notable figures such as former U.S. President George H.W. Bush and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher—or in European-style suites. The package includes double occupancy for the day and two deluxe breakfasts. The original price for the “Presidential Suite New Year’s Eve Gathering” package is NT$127,768+10%, but the promotional price is only NT$88,888+10%.The “Westin Suite New Year’s Eve Gathering” package originally priced at NT$82,216+10% is now available at NT$58,888+10%.

For those who prefer to celebrate at home, hotel takeout reunion dinners are also an option. The Regent Taipei offers the only Michelin-quality reunion dinner and takeout promotion in Taiwan, featuring a “Regent Black Abalone Buddha Jumps Over the Wall” set and a “Regent Grand Four Happiness + Hong Kong-style Buddha Jumps Over the Wall” combo.This combo gathers four regional dish sets, 20 auspicious reunion dishes, and the essential Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup, all available at a discounted combo price of NT$5,800.The hotel also offers à la carte items such as the popular crispy pork buns, preserved meat radish cakes, and traditional glutinous chicken from Hong Kong’s Michelin one-star “Tim Ho Wan,” helmed by chef Mak Kwai Pui, along with an organic “Taiwanese Wild Vegetable Platter.” Each item starts at NT$250.

Taipei Regent Hotel has introduced Cantonese-style reunion dinner sets (eight servings per set for NT$12,000) and Sichuan-style reunion dinner sets (eight servings per set for NT$12,000), each limited to 100 sets. The Cantonese cuisine restaurant presents a nourishing Champagne Mushroom Fish Maw Braised Black Chicken (NT$5,000 per jar), while the Sichuan cuisine restaurant offers a classic Family Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (NT$5,500 per jar) and Premium Family Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (NT$7,500 per jar), limited to 500 jars each.In addition, over ten individual reunion dinner dishes are available, such as salt-and-pepper pomfret symbolizing “prosperity” and radish cake representing “good luck.” Reservations are now open, and the “Cantonese-style Reunion Dinner Set” and “Sichuan-style Reunion Dinner Set” are eligible for a 10% discount if pre-ordered and paid in full before January 20, 2014. Individual reunion dishes are not eligible for discounts.
