Crazy Yellow Rubber Duck   Capital Bus & Fuhang Bus Launch Extra Duck-Shuttle Buses

The Yellow Rubber Duck arrives in Keelung on December 21, and various bus companies are gearing up to welcome the influx of duck-themed tourism. Following the lead of Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport, which was the first to launch an all-yellow “Yellow Rubber Duck Direct Bus,” Capital Bus also announcedthe “1573 Taipei Miramar–Keelung”route, with additional services to be added as needed, and approximately one bus every 3 to 5 minutes during peak hours.

Capital Bus stated that the 1573 route will feature special yellow duck signs, and the windows will also have duck stickers. Departing from the Taipei Metro Jianbei Road Station, the route goes through the Neihu Science Park directly to Keelung Railway Station, with a one-way fare of NT$44. Passengers can get off right next to the Ocean Plaza, where the duck is displayed, saving time on finding parking and allowing more time to view the duck and take photos.

Fuhang Bus stated that its“1550 Taipei–Keelung”and“1551 Xindian–Keelung”routes currently operate approximately one bus every 8 to 12 minutes during peak hours. To accommodate the increased number of duck-viewing visitors, additional services will be added based on ridership. The 1550 route has a one-way fare of NT$45, while the 1551 route is NT$65.

Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport, which was the first to launch a dedicated duck direct bus, operates routes departing from Kuo-Kuang Bus Taipei Station (Taipei West Bus Station) and Zhongxiao Station, passing through Taipei City Hall Station before heading directly to Keelung. The two routes run one bus every 15 minutes, with a one-way fare of NT$55. In the future, additional duck-exclusive bus stop signs will be set up, and the number of duck-special buses will continue to increase to ease transportation demand for those traveling to Keelung to see the duck.
