Hong Kong media goes crazy for Taiwanese cuisine — nearly 30 pages promote food along the MRT Xinyi Line

Since its opening, the MRT Xinyi Line has sparked a new wave of culinary competition. The latest issue of Hong Kong’s U Weekly magazine features a cover story and nearly 30 pages dedicated to the food along the Xinyi Line, including eateries at Dongmen Station, Xinyi Anhe Station, Xiangshan Station, and World Trade Center / Taipei 101 Station, helping Hong Kong tourists discover great dining spots accessible via Taiwan’s MRT system.

Hong Kong’s Economic Daily News–affiliated travel and lifestyle magazine U Weekly features “Taipei MRT New Line – Taste Every Stop” as the cover story of its latest issue, with 28 additional pages inside highlighting various types of cuisine along the Xinyi Line. The report also includes hand-drawn illustrations to help visitors from Hong Kong more easily navigate and find unique Taiwanese flavors while in Taipei.

The article states that previously reaching Xinyi Road was only possible by bus or on foot, but now it’s much more convenient to hunt for great food. The magazine takes the lead in introducing Xinyi Line cuisine especially for Hong Kong readers.
