Six amusement rides are completely free — New Taipei’s “Rascals’ Winter Fun Park” opens on the 14th

One of the events in New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town series, the “Rascals’ Winter Fun Park,” will kick off at 11:00 a.m. on the 14th to the sounds of Christmas carols. It will feature amusement rides such as a carousel, tea cups, and bumper cars, as well as large installations like giant gift boxes and Christmas boots. The event will run until 9:00 p.m. on New Year’s Day, 2014.

The event will be held at Banqiao Railway Station’s front plaza and the Wanping Metropolitan Park. On the opening day, the 14th, there will also be stamp-collecting activities for small prizes and a Christmas circus parade, including a singing and dancing show featuring the cartoon character Viking heroes, as well as performances by local children from Banqiao to celebrate the opening.

The parade will start at 3:00 p.m. from Fuzhong Commercial District, with participants including the YOYO Family, SpongeBob, LINE characters like Brown Rabbit and Brown Bear, among others.

Now in its second year, the Rascals’ Winter Fun Park not only expands into the Wanping Metropolitan Park but also offers richer content. Starting after the opening, cartoon characters will make surprise appearances every weekend to celebrate the festive season with visitors.
