All-you-can-eat never goes out of style in Taiwan. Following their all-you-can-eat Canadian lobster promotion, a five-star hotel recently launched an “all-you-can-eat king crab” offer to attract customers — a move full of hype. But the price tag isn’t low, with a meal for two costing around NT$4,000.

Taipei Regent Taipei, known for its all-you-can-eat main courses, previously offered unlimited servings of top-grade U.S. sirloin steaks and Canadian lobsters. Its latest all-you-can-eat option is king crabs. The hotel stated that they have sourced premium wild king crabs, each averaging 1.5 times the size of a human face, with legs measuring over 30 cm long and weighing up to 1.4 kg. Moreover, they cannot be farmed artificially. Their rarity contributes to their high price and has earned them the title of “king of crabs.”
