Yellow Rubber Duck Visits Keelung – “Convenience” Map Shows 604 Accessible Toilets

The Yellow Rubber Duck will make its way into Keelung Marine Plaza on the 21st. The exhibition organizers estimate that over 6 million visitors will come to see the duck within 50 days. Now, all relevant departments in Keelung are in the final countdown to preparation. However, before the opening, due to Keelung’s limited space, there is insufficient area in the exhibition venue to accommodate the large crowds of duck-watchers. Issues regarding venue safety and “convenience” have recently drawn public attention.

Originally, the Keelung City Government planned to set up 500 portable toilets at Marine Plaza, but due to space limitations, they later coordinated with surrounding businesses and public institutions to lend a total of 604 “accessible toilets” for the public’s urgent needs.

The Keelung Environmental Protection Bureau also asked the exhibition organizers to create a “convenience” map so that the public can easily locate the nearest toilet. This map will be published soon on the bureau’s official website, where the public can visitthe Environmental Protection Bureau’s official websiteorthe Keelung City Government’s official websitefor details; additionally, shops that offer “accessible toilets” will display stickers for easy identification by visitors.
