Off the coast of Portsmouth in the UK lies a historic sea fort—“Spitbank Fort.” After decommissioning, its defensive chambers were converted into eight stunning suites, featuring British red brick walls and a cylindrical silhouette that exudes historical charm.

Built in 1878, Spitbank Fort was originally constructed to defend against French naval attacks. More than 50 years after being decommissioned and changing ownership several times, it was eventually transformed into a luxury resort at a cost of $4 million.

It features a lounge, an outdoor hot tub, a restaurant, a bar, a games room... and more, with all essential amenities. Guests can not only enjoy breathtaking sea views but also engage in both active and relaxing activities such as wine tasting and rubber dinghy rides, all while immersed in an atmosphere where history and military legacy blend seamlessly with modern luxury.

Guests interested in military facilities can take a free ride on a luxury catamaran, reaching Portsmouth Naval Base and Historic Dockyards in just about 15 minutes.
