Ride the “mini train” for free – A new family-friendly attraction in Pingtung, free until the end of the year

With a history of over 100 years, Pingtung Park has hosted a series of festive activities for Christmas, including light displays, markets, gift exchanges, and picnics. In addition, the Pingtung County Government has gone the extra mile by gifting visitors a “mini train” as a special Christmas present. From now until December 31, the mini train will be free to ride during its trial operation period.

In addition to hosting a large-scale Christmas light display that has attracted many visitors, the county government has added more fun for children by introducing family-friendly facilities in the park. Eight Cong Bao mini trains have been brought in, with a total track length of about 160 meters that winds around the large grassy field of Pingtung Park. Each ride takes approximately 3 to 4 minutes, making it a new favorite spot for kids.

The mini train route includes stations, themed iron bridges, tunnels, and Cong Bao and Cong Wa character figurines. The weight limit per ride is 100 kilograms, and for safety reasons, children under the age of 3 must be accompanied by an adult. To allow parents to enjoy the ride with their children, two parent-child tandem cars have been specially designed. During the trial operation period until the end of the year, rides are completely free. Starting January 1 next year, each ride is expected to cost 30 New Taiwan Dollars.
