“Luluna EDM Party” electronic music event — Traffic control in Xinyi Township, Nantou County on the 16th

Xinyi Township’s Lona Village, Taiwan’s largest indigenous community, will host the “2017 Luluna EDM Party” electronic music event on the 16th as a warm-up to the Christmas series of activities. To ensure smooth traffic flow, police will implement traffic control measures. Ding Yuanheng, deputy chief of the Xinyi Police Precinct, urges the public to cooperate with on-site officers’ instructions and enjoy a high-quality musical experience.

The Xinyi Precinct stated that for small vehicles on the day, the inbound route should be via Highway 21, exiting at the 98.95K Meixin Alley intersection, then turning onto Highway 59 to enter the Lona Roundabout and proceed to the various parking areas. The outbound route will be diverted via Lobi Road and Highway 59 back to Highway 21.

For large buses, the inbound route follows Highway 21 to the 98.95K Meixin Alley intersection, then turns onto Highway 59 to reach the Lona Roundabout, with parking available in the open space beside the theater. The outbound route is unified after the event ends, following Highway 59 back to Highway 21.

Police pointed out that the open area below the flower trail in Lona Scenic Park’s flower sea walkway area will serve as the fireworks launch zone, where vehicle parking is prohibited. Small vehicle parking is arranged at two locations behind Nantian Temple, the former Lona Police Station lot, the park behind Lona Elementary School, and the open space in front of the Lona Elementary School parking shelter. Large vehicle parking is designated in the open space beside the Nantian Temple theater stage.

Police urge the public to comply with traffic regulations and driving order. Mountain roads are narrow, so do not park illegally to avoid affecting two-way traffic. Currently, mountain temperatures are low, so the public is reminded to bring warm clothing.
