As Christmas approaches, TWG Tea’s new “Christmas Joy Tea Limited Edition Set” includes soup, main courses, teas, and tea-inspired desserts. Available exclusively at TWG Tea’s Taipei 101 Mall salon and boutique from December 18 to January 7, 2018.
The specially prepared “Seafood Chowder” is made with fresh ingredients such as shrimp and clams, simmered with milk for a rich, creamy taste with a strong seafood flavor. The main course offers a choice between “Pan-Seared American Prime Grade Flat Iron Steak” and “Pan-Seared Sea Bass.” The flat iron steak is seared to a crispy crust on an iron plate, revealing rose-colored tender meat inside, enhanced with truffle duck liver sauce and accompanied by poached pears slow-cooked in London Breakfast Tea—juicy and surprisingly flavorful. The pan-seared sea bass is served with sea urchin and asparagus, along with a side of specially prepared Brussels sprouts and clam cream sauce made with Xianshou Tea, creating a delightful contrast between the tender fish and the savory sea urchin.
The dessert “New York Breakfast Tea-Infused Christmas Log Cake” is built on a chocolate sponge puff cake base, blended with tea-infused mousse that brings out a sweet malt flavor, and decorated with mistletoe, silver snowflakes, and gold sugar beads, evoking an early festive spirit. Paired with the teas “Silver White Tips” or “Caramel Tea,” the former is part of the white tea series, offering a light, elegant aroma, while the latter delivers a uniquely sweet richness, warming the body during the cold winter.
Also launched this season is the “Christmas London Breakfast Tea with Chocolate Macarons,” now available for purchase at TWG Tea salons and boutiques. The macarons feature a thin, crisp handmade shell and are filled with a specially crafted black tea that boasts intense berry and malt flavors, adorned with gold foil for a touch of luxury.
