If you enjoy being outdoors and connecting with nature on holidays, winter is the perfect time to visit Taichung for flower viewing and scenic landscapes. Located in Taichung, the Muxinquan Leisure Farm sits at an altitude of 600 to 900 meters, where the mountain air is fresh and the scenery is delightful. The annual golden needle flower season in May always attracts large crowds of pilgrim-like visitors, and this winter, the romantic golden maple and white birch are in full bloom—the scenic walking trails are waiting for travelers.

In addition to flower viewing in Xinshe, Taichung, during winter, the Muxinquan Leisure Farm is also a great place to relax. Visitors can walk into the forest, gaze out over vast stretches of greenery, and enjoy the beautiful scenery gifted by nature. The farm covers a vast area of over 8 hectares and is planted with a wide variety of flowers and trees, offering different flower-viewing surprises each month. From the small hilltops, the lush greenery stretching as far as the eye can see is super healing, and even the desolate winter has its own poetic charm.

Every winter, the most beautiful scenery at Muxinquan is the perfect pairing of golden maple and white birch. Golden maple, also known as yellow maple, turns a vast expanse of golden yellow when the weather turns cold, creating a super romantic scene. Paired with the white birch, known as “Christmas First Snow” or “Snow White Princess,” the view becomes incredibly romantic. This display is expected to last until the end of December or early January. This year, the Christmas area has also been specially decorated with cute colorful ornaments hanging on the branches, filling the place with a strong festive atmosphere.
