Two rooms sharing one air conditioner. (Photo from Titi Japantour’s Facebook)
When staying in a hotel suite, guests usually don’t share items with other rooms, having their own air conditioners, bathrooms, TVs, and so on. But one hotel in Thailand came up with the ingenious idea of “sharing an air conditioner” — by cutting square holes in the walls between two rooms and using “one air conditioner” to cool both, ensuring both sets of guests can enjoy the cool air.
According to the UK’s The Sun, Titi Japantour was staying at a hotel in Nakhon Nayok, central Thailand, when he noticed a bizarre sight in the corner of his room: the air conditioners in two adjacent rooms were actually “shared.” Stunned, he uploaded the image to social media, where it has since gone viral.
As for how well the shared air conditioner cools the space, Titi Japantour said he had to admit that even though the air conditioner wasn’t dedicated but shared, the cooling effect in both rooms was excellent. He also wondered why previous guests hadn’t found it surprising.
