Heart to Singapore: Passion Unlocks Endless Possibilities – The Gourmet Enthusiast

Taiwanese travelers are passionate about food tourism — from hotel breakfasts, street snacks, to high-end Michelin-starred dining, all serve as travel temptations. This year, the Singapore Tourism Board launched a new travel concept, once again enlisting Stefanie Sun as the spokesperson. It has elevated its approach from “recommending tourist attractions to visitors” to “building emotional resonance with travelers.” Through six themed travel videos, it introduces the latest in “Singaporean” taste. Among the findings, one key difference stands out between Taiwanese and Western travelers.

As Taiwanese people’s overseas travel habits evolve, there is a growing emphasis on thematic travel and independent exploration, with a stronger desire to authentically immerse themselves in local experiences. The Singapore Tourism Board, combining local characteristics with the needs of Taiwanese travelers, has introduced “Heart to Singapore,” a new brand featuring six travel personas: Gourmet Enthusiast, City Explorer, Party Enthusiast, Luxury Collector, Adventure Seeker, and Culture Lover.

Guan Shumin, Director of the Greater China East China Region at the Singapore Tourism Board, revealed that “Heart to Singapore” not only represents the image of Singapore as a travel destination but also perfectly encapsulates the national spirit behind the Lion City’s story. Through six distinctive lifestyle narratives, it stirs the passion to pursue dreams and deepens the value alignment and emotional connection with Singapore. For instance, Taiwanese and Western travelers have different preferences when it comes to food — their interests go beyond affordable snacks and upscale restaurants. It was also found that Taiwanese people are particularly curious about the local chocolate Milo.

Additionally, for Gourmet Enthusiasts, the Singapore Tourism Board has partnered with Wu Fu Travel to launch a visual and culinary feast tour of Michelin-rated delights. Taiwanese travelers will get to savor Michelin one-star street foods such as Liao Fan Hawker Chan’s Hainanese Chicken Rice and Ah Tai Pork Rice, as well as sample the popular local durian desserts.

For City Explorers, Baiwei Travel offers a journey of Singapore city discovery, cycling adventures, and gourmet escapades, crafting a unique deep-dive urban experience. The itinerary includes cultural districts such as Katong’s traditional Peranakan culture experience, the mysterious atmosphere of Kampong Glam, and the vibrant Indian heritage of Little India.

For Party Enthusiasts, Singapore Airlines Holidays’ Taiwan general agent, Dateng Travel Agency, will take you through an exciting night life and stunning nocturnal cityscapes, showing that Singapore isn’t just about daytime sightseeing — its nightlife is so vibrant it can keep you out until dawn. From now until further notice, make any deposit, withdrawal, transfer, or inquiry transactions at any CTBC ATM across Taiwan, and present the ATM Cool Pass coupon with the “secret code” to enjoy exclusive discounted rates.
