Tired of viewing the little yellow duck from the front? Try seeing it from a different angle! On the 24th, the Keelung Harbor Branch announced that on the 25th, at Pier 3 East of Keelung Port, the “COSCO STAR” will once again be opened to the public, offering a limited quota of 1,000 people free access to tour the interior of the ship. Visitors can also enjoy a distant view of the adorable little yellow duck from the vessel.

Following the free public tours of the “COSCO STAR” and the “New Taipei” vessel held at Pier 3 East of Keelung Port on the 11th and 12th (Saturday and Sunday) of this month, which attracted 2,507 and 4,705 visitors respectively, many were unable to board due to limited spots and could only sigh at the ships. In response to strong public demand, the Keelung Harbor Branch has added another event this weekend, inviting the “COSCO STAR” back to Pier 3 East for another open house.

The “COSCO STAR” is a passenger and cargo vessel measuring 186 meters in length and 25.5 meters in width, owned by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company. With a total tonnage of 26,847 tons, it can carry 150 vehicles, 683 passengers, and 256 standard containers. At first glance, it stands as tall as a 10-story building. After boarding, visitors can “climb high and gaze far,” enjoying views of the little yellow duck stationed in front of Ocean Plaza.

Visiting hours are as follows:On the 25th, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in the morning, and from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM in the afternoon; on the 26th, at Piers 3 and 4, the “German Ship” will also be docked. Although it is not open for public visits, ship enthusiasts can still catch a glimpse of its grandeur. (News source: Central News Agency)
