Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
Located in Guanxi, Hsinchu, Six Flags Theme Park — the oldest amusement park brand in Taiwan — is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Going all out, the park has invested tens of millions to launch an entire year’s worth of special events under the grand “35th Anniversary Colorful Year Carnival Celebration,” aiming to party and celebrate with everyone.
In addition to continuously developing new facilities with innovative technology, the park has also revived the joyful memories of driving through a wildlife park from the past by introducing a brand-new interactive animal exploration experience. Moreover, the park has created a series of the largest colorful art installations in Taiwan, including thousands of colorful windmills and flower sponges stretching as far as the eye can see, the world’s first-ever 300-ton giant cake, and several large-scale, real-proportion painted animal installations — all magical, dazzling, and breathtakingly beautiful.
Coincidentally, the park’s white tigers gave birth to three rare twin cubs just before the New Year, forming a “trio of tiger cubs welcoming the 35th” — a great omen kicking off the 35th-anniversary celebrations. To mark the occasion, Six Flags is also generously offering a full year’s worth of exciting discounts. At the start of the New Year holiday, the park launched the “Children Under 12 Free” welcome offer, which has been extended from January 30 (New Year’s Eve) to February 9 (the 10th day of the Lunar New Year). Throughout the year, there will also be ticket promotions such as “Buy One Get One Free for weekend birthdays” and “50% off for wearing designated color clothing on weekends,” inviting the public to join in and celebrate an action-packed year.

An Established Brand Embracing Innovation to Build Taiwan’s First Tech-Entertainment-Education Park
With near 100% brand recognition, Six Flags Theme Park has been around since its founding in 1979 and is about to celebrate its 35th anniversary. Over the past thirty-plus years, it has welcomed over 40 million visitors, becoming a nostalgic part of countless people’s childhoods and setting numerous “firsts” in Taiwan’s tourism history.
Since establishing the first open-style wildlife park, Six Flags has continuously broken new ground — transforming into the first and only theme park, introducing the first white tiger, building numerous rare amusement rides in the world, and more. It not only meets the public’s expectations for fun but also raises the standard of tourism to rival international leisure and entertainment industries. In recent years, it has captured consumer attention with innovative concepts like “animal eco-leisure tourism” and a “dual-themed water-and-land park,” fulfilling endless imaginations about what an amusement park can be. Always adhering to its service philosophy of “innovative service, touching experiences,” Six Flags aims to deliver more heartfelt emotions and perfect five-sensory experiences to consumers.
Creating many “firsts” has always been a goal Six Flags has continuously strived for in the past. Looking ahead, the park will continue to challenge itself with a mindset of “becoming the one and only,” integrating with technology and putting the concept of edutainment into practice. It plans to launch “Taiwan’s First Tech-Entertainment-Education Park,” which, in addition to the rich entertainment experiences already provided, will offer high-quality, tech-driven, and educationally diverse amusement experiences. The brand spirit will be reflected in the diverse services to come. This year, the park will also deepen interactive experiences with nature and wildlife, introducing more educational amusement programs to create unique experiences that make Six Flags the one and only choice for consumers, satisfying even more needs and evolving from the first to the only. The 35th-anniversary Six Flags is sure to surprise the public and aim to serve hundreds of millions of visitors.
