228 Holiday Travel: Hong Kong is the Hottest Destination, Japan Prices Dropping

This year’s 228 Memorial Day falls on a Friday, making it the first three-day holiday after the Lunar New Year. By taking an additional 1–2 days off, travelers can plan a 3–5 day trip. As a result, nearby destinations such as Hong Kong, Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia have become key choices for the 228 holiday.

InHong Kongtravel, although it wasn’t the top choice during the Lunar New Year holiday, its suitability for short trips and convenience has made it the most popular overseas destination for the 228 holiday. Travel agency insiders revealed that as early as autumn 2013, some travelers were already pre-booking 228 Hong Kong itineraries, highlighting its popularity for this holiday.

Additionally, inSouth Korea,due to recent diarrhea incidents and market competition from the Lunar New Year holiday, there is still ample room for consumer choice, with prices mostly ranging between NT$19,000 and NT$25,000.

However,Singaporeroutes, with their short duration and family-friendly appeal, have become the hottest Southeast Asian travel option for the 228 holiday this year.
