Taichung’s “COSTCO Bear” Lanterns Light Up Autumn Valley – A Bear-Themed Light Art Gallery

This year, the Lantern Festival coincides with Valentine’s Day, both falling on February 14. To create a romantic and joyful atmosphere for family reunions under the full moon, the Taichung City Government’s Economic Development Bureau has transformed Autumn Valley Park into a romantic bear-themed light art gallery. The adorable teddy “COSTCO Bear” is also here, carrying a lantern to celebrate the Lantern Festival with everyone!

This Friday, Valentine’s Day and the Lantern Festival arrive together. The beautiful Taichung Autumn Valley Park, adorned by the Taichung Economic Development Bureau with festive lighting, features adorable bear-shaped light sculptures leading their friends—little white rabbits, goats, and baby elephants—as they play freely in the park. A beautifully crafted pumpkin carriage waits nearby, ready to take the tired little animals home, creating a fairytale-like romantic scene that has delighted many visitors.

In addition, to celebrate the arrival of the Lantern Festival, the adorable teddy bear “COSTCO Bear” is also here, carrying a lantern to join the festivities at Autumn Valley. The Economic Development Bureau stated that this exhibition is scheduled to run for more than six months. Visitors are welcome to come and admire the bear garden light art or take photos with the teddy bear while carrying their own lanterns, making for a joyful Lantern Festival and Valentine’s Day.
