The cold front has been wreaking havoc in Taiwan, bringing consecutive days of chilly weather. Yushan, which only had light snowfall last weekend, experienced the heaviest snowfall since the start of winter (2013) on the 10th, with snow accumulation reaching as deep as 12 centimeters.
According to the Yushan Weather Station, snow began falling again around 6 a.m. on the 10th, lasting for nearly nine hours until around 2:40 p.m., with the 12-centimeter-deep snowfall turning Yushan into a silver-white world. Due to the recent cold weather, the mountain’s temperature also dropped to around minus five degrees Celsius today (the 11th). (News source: Central News Agency)
