2014 “Love Forever” – Tainan City Promotes Top 10 Romantic Destinations for Couples

This Valentine’s Day on February 14 this year is not only the romantic 2014 “Love Forever,” but also coincides with the Lantern Festival. This rare alignment of Western and Eastern holidays won’t happen again until 2033, so don’t miss out. The Tainan Tourism Bureau has specially plannedTainan’s Top 10 Romantic Destinationsto help couples deepen their love, enhance the sweetness of romance, and even give single friends a chance at love.

In line with this year’s Valentine’s Day, the Tainan Tourism Bureau has specially planned a series titled “Tainan’s Top 10 Romantic Destinations,” packaging the area’s distinctive romantic spots intothemes such as “Romance of Fireworks,” “Sunset Lovers,” “Nighttime Romance,” “Strolling Lovers,” “Candlelight Romance,” “Wedding Dress Romance,” “Leisurely Romance,” “Flying Romance,” “Drumbeat Romance,” and “Starlight Romance.”and other themes.

“Romance of Fireworks”refers to the world-renownedYanshui Beehive Rockets—where you can experience the thrilling excitement of the Beehive Rocket Town and the romantic art lanterns of the Yuejin Harbor Lantern Festival, along with sampling local famous Yanshui pasta and specialty snacks. Meanwhile, “Sunset Lovers” involves watching the sunset atJingzijiao Salt Fieldsand experiencing the oldest existing tile-pan salt field ruins,then heading to Erliau — the sacred site for sunrise viewing in Tainan —to welcome the most beautiful sunrise in southern Taiwan.

And “Nighttime Romance”” features the classically elegant and rustic lanterns of Shennong Street and the creative installations on Hai’an Road,letting you wander through an artistic atmosphere and explore Tainan’s traditional alleys and unique shops, adding even more sweetness to the experience.The most popular “Lover’s Tree” from the movie “The Great Chef,” the romantic ambiance of Anping Harborand the“Strolling Lovers””, takes you along the Anping Harbor waterfront to enjoy a romantic moment for two; in the evening, head to the 38th floor ofShangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Tainanto gaze at the dazzling night view while savoring the most romantic “Candlelight Lovers” dinner, bringing your Valentine’s Day to a perfect close.
