The Taipei City Bureau of Soil and Water Conservation has specially recommended 9 romantic trails for couples on Valentine’s Day: the Naval Vessel Rock Trail, Huangxi Hot Spring Trail, Tianmu Ancient Trail, Elephant Mountain Trail, Zhinan Temple Trail, Camphor Tree Trail, Flying Dragon Trail, Ascent Trail, and Little Sky Trail. These allow lovers to stroll hand-in-hand through the mountains and forests, adding warmth to their relationship.

Huang Liyuan, Director of the Bureau of Soil and Water Conservation, said that in Beitou, theNaval Vessel Rock Trailleads to the famously dubbed “Temple of Lovers,” the Lienchiang Jing Temple, which features many statues of ancient Chinese couples and is a popular spot for couples to make wishes.

Additionally, the “Flying Dragon Trail” in Wenshan District takes you to the renowned “Zhangshan Temple.” The starting point at National Chengchi University is lined with cherry blossom trees, adding a romantic atmosphere. Couples can also embrace in front of the temple while overlooking the twinkling night view of Highway No. 2, making the moment even sweeter.

Couples who love hot springs can also take a relaxing soak and then stroll along the “Huangxi Hot Spring Trail,” listening to the murmuring stream while soaking in the serene ambiance of Beitou.

The “Elephant Mountain Trail,” now more accessible with the extension of the MRT, leads hikers to the “Six Giant Rocks” atop the mountain, where couples can admire Taipei 101 and the nightlife of Xinyi District, refreshing the spirit.

The “Tianmu Ancient Trail” behind Chinese Culture University not only offers couples the chance to dine at unique restaurants along Dongshan Road but also provides spectacular night views. Under the starry sky, your love can be witnessed in its fullest.
