So cute！A black-and-white panda flash mob sweeps through Bopiliao and the Taipei Flora Expo Park

The army of 1,600 paper pandas, expected to debut on February 28 at the Taipei City Hall Plaza, made early morning and noon appearances at Bopiliao and the Taipei Flora Expo New Life Park on February 21.

Since many members of the public had received “flash mob alerts,” over a hundred spectators gathered at the Flora Expo site, all eager to be among the first to admire the paper pandas.

Some members of the public commented that although the official exhibition opens on February 28, participating in the early flash mob events allows them to capture the paper pandas in different environments, resulting in unique photo opportunities. Especially when planes fly low over the Flora Expo Park, you can even snap a “panda + plane” shot, which feels particularly fun.

The Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism also noted that from February 20 to February 24, these paper pandas will “flash mob” various major attractions in Taipei. In addition to the panda army, ten endangered animal species will also make appearances, aiming to draw attention to the importance of environmental and ecological conservation.
