Tiny heroes take action: Hong Kong Disneyland launches the “Marvel Summer Heroes” theme

Marvel fans this summer must not miss the “Marvel Summer Super Heroes” event at Hong Kong Disneyland. Watching heroic characters fight crime is always thrilling. The globally popular MARVEL series has not only created numerous iconic heroes but even made villains fan-favorite idols. Following the success of the “Iron Man Experience” launched earlier this year, more Marvel-themed attractions and events have been introduced, positioning Hong Kong Disneyland as a must-visit destination for Marvel fans.

At the official press conference in Taiwan, additional details about this summer’s new activities were shared. The event will run from June 14 to September 3 and feature a variety of special missions, such as the Iron Man-themed “Iron Man Experience,” a hero meet-and-greet with Captain America and “Leap” to see Spider-Man, as well as missions at the S.H.I.E.L.D. temporary base, “Marvel Crisis Protocol Mission,” helping multiple superheroes overcome various challenges.

Targeting the Taiwanese summer travel market, travel agencies are promoting an all-in-one vacation experience that allows families to visit nearby Hong Kong for some Disney fun. Visitors can enjoy the park’s rides and sample over 20 Marvel-themed food offerings, as well as stay at the newly opened Disney Explorers Lodge at the end of April this year. In addition, a major running event, the “Marvel 10K Weekend 2017,” will be held in September, allowing participants to channel their inner heroes and push their physical limits.
