Performers from music groups take turns to entertain; the paper panda exhibition adds a cultural touch

Starting February 28, the “1600 Pandas World Tour” has debuted at the Civic Plaza in front of Taipei City Hall. To make the exhibition even more engaging, the Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau has invited the Taipei Municipal Symphony Orchestra and Chinese Orchestra, as well as four groups of street performers from Taipei, to present a series of cultural and artistic performances around the exhibition area from February 28 to March 9.

At 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on February 28, the Taipei Municipal Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Quintet will perform. At 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on March 1, the Taipei Municipal Chinese Orchestra’s Silk and Bamboo Ensemble will take the stage.

On March 2, a series of performances by Taipei street performers will take place. The TB ALL STAR, who recently won the 2013 Metro Cup Asian Street Dance Championship, will perform at 3:00 PM on March 2. At 6:00 PM that day, the Cellotar Ensemble will take the stage.

Additionally, from March 3 to 7, from 6:00 PM each evening, Chen Weilin, TB ALL STAR, and the handclap band will each have their own solo performances. This allows visitors to enjoy the paper pandas and also stroll over to the plaza between the Taipei City Hall and the Taipei City Council building to appreciate exciting cultural and artistic shows.
