Take me home！A 3-hectare cosmos sea opens for flower picking along New Taipei’s riverside

You can really pick them and take them home！A total of 3 hectares of cosmos flowers are in full bloom at Xinzhuang Riverside Happiness Shuiyang Park and Xindian Sunshine Sports Park in New Taipei City. The previously strict ban on picking or breaking plants has now been lifted. The Water Resources Bureau stated that as the land will be tilled and leveled in two weeks, the flower sea will be mixed into green fertilizer. Therefore, the public is welcome to take these beautiful cosmos flowers home, and there is no limit on the amount you can pick.

The Water Resources Bureau planted a large area of cosmos flowers in the two riverside parks just before the Spring Festival. The blooming flowers were breathtakingly beautiful and received high praise during the floral season. Now that the cosmos flowering period is coming to an end, the public is invited to pick the flowers. The Water Resources Bureau pointed out that no prior reservation or registration is needed to pick the flowers—just go ahead and pick them.

The Water Resources Bureau reminds the public that Happiness Shuiyang Park has about 2 hectares of flower sea, while Sunshine Sports Park has around 1 hectare. The densely growing cosmos flowers attract bees and other insects, so visitors must be cautious when picking. The land is scheduled to be tilled again on March 14. “Pick them while you can—they’ll be gone once they’re picked!”
