Look elsewhere for floral delights – Taipei Flower Market, with 17 years of history, to close on March 8

To ensure stable operations of the wholesale floral market in the Greater Taipei area, the Taipei City Government has designated the intersection of Xinhu 3rd Road and Minshan Street in Neihu District as the site for a permanent new Taipei Flower Market. The original Taipei Flower Market will cease operations at 6:00 AM on March 8 after completing its final auction. The new market will begin a three-day trial run starting March 11 and officially open on March 14. The new Taipei Flower Market connects Buildings A and B via an overhead bridge and features greenhouses, outdoor leisure spaces, and a floral-themed restaurant, combining tourism and recreational functions.

To celebrate its move to the new location, the Taipei Flower Market has specially organizeda “Colorful Floral Exhibition”from March 15 to 23 on the second floor greenhouse of Building B at 36 Xinhu 3rd Road. Spanning 205 pyeong, the exhibition space is divided into themed areas including Shimmering, Charming, Lively, and Radiant, showcasing high-quality domestic flowers for both export and local markets. Each section’s unique theme offers visitors an immersive experience in the relaxing atmosphere of the new flower market, while also marking the historic relocation of the flower market.
