Taipei’s “small joys” go international — the renowned aviation magazine Hemispheres has selected Taipei as a “Three Perfect Days” city. In addition to a dedicated feature, Taipei also graces the cover of the issue. Songshan Cultural and Creative Park and Fuhang Soy Milk are highly recommended, with the magazine describing,“Taipei is a global hub for technology, design, and cuisine.”.

Article author Orion Ray-Jones noted that in addition to iconic attractions such as the National Palace Museum and Taipei 101, Taipei also offers “small joys” that surprise tourists — including lesser-known spots like Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the Taipei Flower Market, the Jade Market, and Yongkang Street. For food, must-visits include Din Tai Fung, Shilin Night Market, Fuhang Soy Milk at Huashan Market, Ice Monster in the Eastern District, and Shangyin Aquatic Products.

Ray-Jones mentioned that the line at Fuhang Soy Milk is wild and impressive — people are willing to wait in line for its aromatic fried dough sticks, scallion egg pancakes, egg crepes, and sweet warm soy milk.

The Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, transformed from the old Songshan Tobacco Factory, is another spot highly recommended by Ray-Jones. He said that Taipei, on its way to becoming the 2016 City of Design, is a hotspot for contemporary art and design.
