Malaysia Airlines held its third press conference at 15:30 on March 9 beside Beijing Capital International Airport, providing an update on the missing Boeing 777 aircraft en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

According to foreign media reports, Ignatius Ong, CEO of MASwings, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, has told the families of MH370 passengers that arrangements could be made for them to travel to Kuala Lumpur as early as tomorrow, but also informed them to “be prepared for the worst.”

The missing Malaysia Airlines flight had 227 passengers, including 2 infants, and 12 crew members, over 150 of whom were from mainland China.

According to foreign media, Boeing Co., the U.S. aerospace and defense group, has issued a statement saying it will join the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) team and serve as a technical advisor for the missing flight incident.
