The paper panda exhibition moves to the National Theater & Concert Hall on March 14 – take the MRT there and read the newspaper along the way

The paper pandas are making another flash appearance again this time The army of paper pandas has taken over the MRT trains heading to “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station” and they’ve even brought along their good friend the Formosan black bear ready to meet everyone at the Civic Plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall

The public art exhibition “1600 Pandas World Tour – Taipei,” which was displayed in Taipei City Hall Square, recently concluded successfully. The super cute army of paper pandas attracted over a million visitors. Starting March 14, these adorable “panda troops” will continue to meet the public at the Civic Plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall, joined by 200 paper Formosan black bears, expected to create another wave of black-and-white excitement.

To ensure the pandas and black bears arrive at the National Theater & Concert Hall on time to meet the public, the organizers specially arranged a flash appearance of the dual bears at the MRT Nangang Depot. They boarded the train bound for “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station,” where the bears instantly transformed into everyday commuters—some talking on the phone or reading newspapers, others wearing scarves or carrying cameras, and even two bears snuggling up together, their human-like appearances incredibly amusing and endearing.

The Tourism and Communications Bureau stated that the second phase of the “1600 Pandas World Tour – Taipei” will be exhibited at the Civic Plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall from March 14 to March 30. In addition to the 1,600-strong paper panda army, there will also be 200 newly arrived Formosan black bears. The public is welcome to follow the steps of the dual bears and take the MRT to the Civic Plaza of the National Theater & Concert Hall to view the exhibition. The exhibition hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and admission is free.
