World Exclusive！Shanghai Disneyland’s Pirate-Themed Area to Open in 2015

Shanghai Disneyland Exclusive！Shanghai Disneyland has announced that the first of its six themed lands within the “Magic Kingdom-style theme park” will be based on pirates from the Caribbean, and will be named “Treasure Cove.” This is the only pirate-themed area among all Disney parks worldwide. The highlight of the new land is its design inspired by the stories and characters from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, creating an experience as authentic as the films themselves.
According to park officials, “Treasure Cove” will feature a variety of cutting-edge special effects technology, taking guests deep into the ocean, through pirate battleships, and straight into intense naval battles with the immersive attraction “Pirates of the Caribbean—Battle for the Sunken Treasure,” offering a level of realism as if you were truly there. Currently, construction of the new themed land is ongoing, with plans to open by the end of 2015.
