Ranked as a "Best Hotel" by a renowned international booking site — a Mediterranean-style homestay in Kenting

In the 2013 Agoda.com Gold Circle Awards, 20 hotels and homestays in Taiwan were honored, and this Kenting homestay, “Meet Kenting,” was one of them. The exterior features a simple blue-and-white color scheme and is located along the seaside section of Kenting Main Street. Guests only need to step outside the homestay to be greeted by white sandy beaches and azure waters.

“Meet Kenting” may not be the most unique homestay among the hundreds in Kenting, but for a seaside property that has been open for two years and remains as clean and simple as this one, it’s quite an achievement. When reporters stayed at “Meet Kenting,” construction was underway in the outdoor area, but upon entering the lobby, the space felt refreshingly clean, as if the entire building had just been freshly painted.

The homestay was established by its owner, who loves the ocean and wanted to set up a place by the sea. It has a Mediterranean vibe but adds a touch of lively Bohemian flair. Owner Ke Su-yue mentioned that having grown up by the sea, she’s accustomed to comfortable, uncluttered spaces. That’s why each room in the homestay was designed with its own private balcony and ample relaxation space—spacious and unrestricted—to provide guests with a comfortable holiday environment.

Inside, you’ll find that each room has a different design—eye-catching but not over the top. Room color schemes include yellow, red, blue, and green, using mosaic tiles, curved bathrooms, and various lighting highlights. As soon as guests enter a room, they’re met with delightful surprises. Ke Su-yue said, “We use many colors because we want guests to experience a vacation feeling that’s different from home.”

Beyond the colorful designs, the homestay also features specially crafted balcony-style seating and unique clothing racks, all made by carpenters. Guests can discover the owner’s thoughtful details in every corner.
