Christmas is just around the corner. Are you looking for a warm and sweet gift? Taipei Regent Hotel has collaborated with Singapore’s Huang Hui Xian, the two-time winner of Asia’s Best Pastry Chef and known as the “Queen of Desserts,” to exclusively import three shaped chocolate gift boxes from Singapore: Box of 9, Box of 16, and Box of 25. These include a special milk tea-flavored chocolate created for Taipei Regent Hotel, along with eight varieties of shaped chocolate lollipops and the renowned Janice Wong Christmas gift basket.

Huang Hui Xian holds a master's degree in economics. Unable to give up her passion for desserts, she left her high-paying banking job to study patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in France. After graduation, she worked alongside culinary masters such as American celebrity chef Thomas Keller, Spanish chocolate expert Oriol Balaguer, and French “Picasso of pastry” Pierre Hermé. In addition to running two stores and a dessert bar in Singapore, she has also opened overseas branches in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Macau. Janice is skilled at blending dessert cuisine with art, aiming to offer diners not just a taste experience, but a luxurious feast for both the palate and the eyes.

The three popular chocolate gift boxes now available at Regent Hotel — Box of 16 and Box of 25 — each contain 16 and 25 sculpted chocolates, respectively. These chocolates feature irregular, artwork-like shapes, combined with freehand brushstroke designs and smooth, rich flavors. Flavors include coffee, peanut butter, pistachio lime, black sesame, and sea salt caramel. Unique and rare options include Malacca coconut sugar, mango curry, spicy hot, laksa lemongrass, and Thai kaffir lime leaf.

Box of 9 features vibrantly colored spherical chocolates — white for lemon thyme, yellow for yuzu, orange for popcorn, pink for strawberry cake, purple for blackcurrant, blue for almond whiskey, red for sea salt caramel, black for nut brittle, and green for Malacca coconut sugar. There are also “chocolate lollipops” in flavors such as green mango passion fruit, strawberry milk caramel mint, and strawberry grape. For gifting, the “Janice Wong Christmas Gift Basket” is an excellent choice, packed with a variety of festive treats including chocolates, lollipops, marshmallows, and cookies. Lollipops start at NT$80 each, and gift boxes start at NT$880 each. Limited quantities are available, with pickup starting mid-December.
