Heavy rain continues  Nantou’s “Qingjing Scenic Walkway” offers refunds until June 19

In recent days, heavy rain has poured across Taiwan, causing many people’s travel plans to be canceled or disrupted. To avoid inconveniences caused by weather conditions, Nantou’s Qingjing High-Altitude Scenic Walkway will allow visitors to request same-day refunds from now until June 19 if a heavy rain warning is issued.

Nantou’s Qingjing High-Altitude Scenic Walkway officially opened to the public this May, attracting large crowds of visitors. To maintain sightseeing quality, visitor numbers are subject to a total capacity control, and visitors are encouraged to make advance reservations via the online ticketing system. Recently, amid continuous heavy rain, if the Central Weather Bureau issues a heavy rain warning for Nantou County or Ren’ai District of Nantou County, visitors who have booked entry tickets via the website or app and have not used them can apply for a same-day refund.

Additionally, if Nantou County or Ren’ai Township announces a work and school suspension on the day, the walkway will also announce closure after an announcement by the Executive Yuan’s Personnel Administration Office. For visitors holding tickets for sessions during the closure period, refunds will be processed automatically by the system. Due to the influence of the Meiyu front and the southwest monsoon, the weather is expected to be unfavorable from this week through the weekend. Visitors planning to explore the mountainous areas of Nantou are advised to closely monitor weather changes.

Admission: General public NT$50; children and county residents enjoy a discounted rate of NT$30; seniors aged 65 and above, Ren’ai Township residents, and people with disabilities receive a special rate of NT$10.

1. Refund method on the “Nantou Fun” website:First,log in as a member and enter the “Member Center”, then open “My Orders,” find the order for which you want a refund, and click the “I Want a Refund” button.

2. Refund method on the “Nantou Fun” APP:First, ensure that the APP is updated to the latest version. After opening the APP, select “Member Center” at the bottom right of the homepage, choose “My Orders,” then select the “Paid” tab, find the order for which you want a refund, click “View Details,” and then click the “I Want a Refund” button in the upper right corner of the order details page.
