We’ve previously introduced the cheesecake and madeleines from Aluvbe Cakery Taipei, and now that it’s strawberry season, we absolutely have to recommend their strawberry cake again. It’s been featured on Foodie Show — a super popular treat you can’t get without pre-ordering. Every bite is packed with real strawberries, not just a few decorations on top. One taste and you’ll know why it’s so amazing.

Recommendation Rating: ★★★★★ (5 stars)
Short Review: A must-try strawberry cake in Taipei. Every bite is full of real strawberries.
Founded in Kaohsiung, Aluvbe Cakery Taipei now has a branch in Taipei, tucked away in a lane off Ren’ai Road near Jinan Road. It’s about a five-minute walk from Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station.

The owner of Aluvbe Cakery Taipei is a huge apple fan, so the shop is filled with all kinds of apple-themed merchandise — all part of the owner’s years-long collection. It’s both interesting and great for photos. The antique ceramics are the shop owner’s hobby, making the place feel like a museum of curiosities. The displays are also changed regularly.

Free Wi-Fi and power outlets are available, and there’s no time limit on how long you can stay.

The glass display case shows the items available for the day, which may vary. Their specialties include cheesecake, madeleines, and strawberry cake. The first two are covered in Zhou Huahua’s first visit review, but this article focuses on the stunning and eye-catching French-style strawberry cake.

Fraisier French Strawberry Cake – NT$880 (6-inch)
The strawberry cake comes in two sizes: 6-inch (NT$880) and 9-inch (NT$1,760). Since it’s entirely handmade and the process is intricate, it’s only available by reservation. To reserve, visit the Aluvbe website [click here]. You can pick it up yourself, or they also offer delivery. Even if you’re not in Taipei or Kaohsiung, you can still enjoy this delicious strawberry cake via delivery.

Take a look for yourselves — isn’t this strawberry cake just gorgeous? With at least 50 fresh strawberries from Dahu used inside and out, just arranging them takes half an hour. It’s truly breathtaking.

It’s been featured on media outlets like Foodie Show, VEGA, Vogue, and ELLE, making it 100% popular. Using the most traditional French strawberry cake recipe paired with plenty of Taiwan-grown Dahu strawberries, how could strawberry lovers not go crazy for it? We felt like we were at a photo exhibition, snapping shots from every angle. This is definitely the most luxurious strawberry cake I’ve ever had, with every bite bursting with fresh strawberries.

In addition to the generous amount of strawberries, the soft sponge cake and custard cream also perform exceptionally well, creating a perfect 1+1>2 effect. The 6-inch size serves about four people, which works out to just NT$220 per person — yet it delivers more happiness than your average store-bought strawberry cake.

Strawberry Jar – NT$170
If you can’t find friends to share it with or want to take the strawberry cake with you, check out the “Strawberry Jar.” The owner shrinks the strawberry cake and puts it in a glass jar, with a layer of strawberry jelly at the bottom — a whole different kind of treat.

I’ve known the owner Alvin for ages, so thanks to him for inviting me to try the strawberry cake this time. Such a dreamy dessert shouldn’t be known only by me. Strawberry lovers, how can you miss out this winter?
