The King Cherry Blossom of Alishan in Full Bloom – Seize the Golden 7 Days to Witness the "Cherry Snow" Scenery

Seize the golden 7 days！Alisha's floral season indicator, the “King Cherry Blossom,” has entered its peak blooming period, with nearly 100% of the flowers in full bloom. From now until around April 5th is the best time to admire the blossoms. Visitors note that the area is currently covered with Yoshino cherry blossoms, and when the breeze blows, the sight of petals fluttering resembles a “cherry blossom snowfall.” The Chiayi Forest District Office stated that children under 12 years old will be granted free admission from April 4th to 6th.

The Forest District Office noted that with recent sunny weather and stable conditions, the Yoshino cherry blossoms have now reached their peak. If there are no strong winds or rain in the near future, the blooms are expected to last around 7 to 10 days. However, as the weather can change rapidly, visitors are advised to come and admire the flowers as soon as possible. Cherry blossoms can be seen in full bloom in front of the Alishan Hotel, Zhushan Station, and the Alishan Police Station.

After the Yoshino cherry blossom season ends, the double-petal cherry blossom season will follow, featuring varieties such as Takasago cherry, Goshiki cherry, Ichiyo cherry, Kirin cherry, and Shidare cherry. The Forestry Bureau reminds the public that during the Children’s Day holiday, children under 12 years old can enter for free upon presenting identification. Although the weather is currently stable, as Alishan is over 2,000 meters above sea level, visitors should still take care to dress warmly while enjoying the blossoms.
