Time to change your outfit again—Ali Mountain’s pink Yoshino cherry blossoms are making their exit as snow-white Oshima cherries take the stage.

After the opening of the Ali Mountain cherry blossom season, the star for the first three weeks was the pink-flowering Yoshino cherry. However, due to the bloom cycle and weather conditions, the Yoshino cherries have gradually faded, making way for the larger-petaled Oshima cherry, which boasts a snow-white appearance. The landscape of Ali Mountain has thus transformed from a pink world into a pristine white expanse. Local residents recommend that the best spots to admire the Oshima cherry blossoms are Zhapo Park and the areas around the Ali Mountain Police Station.

The Yoshino cherry blossom season is expected to last until around April 5th. However, as the Yoshino cherries begin to wither, the petals flutter down in the breeze, creating what many visitors describe as the beautiful "cherry blossom snowfall" spectacle—a uniquely enchanting sight. Joining the Oshima cherry this season are other varieties such as the double-flowered yaezakura, takasaga, gosho, ichiyo, kirin, and weeping cherry.

The Forestry Bureau reminds visitors that during the Children’s Day holiday, children under 12 can enter for free upon presenting valid identification. Recent weather has been generally stable but occasionally brings heavy rain. Given that Ali Mountain’s elevation exceeds 2,000 meters, flower-viewing tourists should still take care to dress warmly.
