Singapore’s “Infinity Pool” – Floating 200 Meters High with a View of the Million-Dollar Night Scenery

Before the Lunar New Year, I gave myself the gift of a solo trip to Singapore. The entire journey was my own personal adventure,
Every scene along the way was so peaceful, yet when I held those moments in my heart, they felt incredibly powerful,
Being honest with myself at every step didn’t tire me out,
And every solo selfie was taken using a tripod (no fear of public judgment).
Friends kept reminding me that the must-do activity in Singapore is swimming on the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands and taking in the city’s night view from above—but only if you’re a guest staying at the hotel. Of course, I heard plenty of shady shortcuts, but breaking the rules always comes with risks...
If you’re not staying at Marina Bay Sands, you can still head up to the 57th-floor observation deck for just S$20—it’s worth it just for the night view.
Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark floats atop three towering towers, 200 meters above the ground. The total length of the SkyPark exceeds the height of the Eiffel Tower. Its gravity-defying cantilever is the largest of its kind in the world. The garden spans 12,400 square meters and can accommodate up to 3,900 people.

Since I didn’t bring a girl along this time, sorry for letting everyone down,
There are just a lot of selfies here—honestly, I’ve gotten so out of shape this year I don’t even have abs anymore. Think twice before scrolling down...
My plan for the day was to just chill by the pool, zoning out from afternoon until evening. I spent nearly six hours up there. I wanted one day to just slow down, quietly soak in the city, without rushing around, maybe read a book or organize my journal.
Marina Bay Sands is a marvel of world engineering. Its rooftop features an infinity pool at 198 meters high—the largest outdoor pool in the world at that elevation. The pool is 150 meters long, three times the length of an Olympic pool.
With your room key, you can access the rooftop. The main draw is, of course, the swimming, but besides the long pool, there’s also a kids’ pool and a very small warm jacuzzi.
There’s a service desk where you can get towels and help yourself to lemonade, as well as showers and restrooms.
If you get hungry, just wave to the staff and they’ll bring you a menu to order food—though I heard the prices aren’t cheap. I have anemia, so I can’t stay hungry for too long. I usually carry snacks in my bag for a quick bite.

Every now and then, you’ll hear lifeguards blowing their whistles—someone’s climbed up the edge of the pool. Although there’s a sturdy fence around the pool to prevent you from falling 57 floors down, it’s still a dangerous move. Don’t be too silly.

At Marina Bay Sands’ infinity pool, I floated on the water, suspended on the city’s skyline,
Life should have moments where you know how to relax and enjoy,
See the views you want to see, live the life you want to live.
This is a world-class wonder I’ll never forget,
At 28, when I was unemployed, I found freedom and found myself again.

These few days in Singapore have been overcast, and the 57th floor is actually quite windy,
and when there’s no sun, it gets pretty cold. The water temperature is actually warmer than the wind,
I occasionally go for a dip or swim a bit,
but most of the time, I just lounge on the deck chairs like the foreigners, sunbathing and killing time,
while the yellow-skinned Easterners are all having fun taking photos and making noise in the pool.
The view straight ahead from the pool is the entire city of Singapore,
and behind it is the whole Marina Bay Gardens and the harbor.

Travel has become richer for me, not just in depth and breadth,
facing tightly packed itineraries, I’m starting to find it overwhelming,
and I’ve begun to care about whether I can,
during my travels, slow down a bit more to relieve some mental stress.
By nightfall, the scenery becomes even more beautiful. The only pity is that I didn’t take many photos at night. I went out of my way to other places with night views instead.

But as soon as I posted this photo on FB, not only did it get over a hundred likes, everyone was more interested in the cute girl in the bottom left corner, and they even started a petition to see her front view...
Don’t say I only care about my own enjoyment — I always keep an eye out for good shots for everyone too~

I admit it’s not very clear or close-up, but I can only say... I did my best!
If you go on a honeymoon in the future and have some spare cash, why not bring your wife through Singapore, stay a night at Marina Bay Sands, and take in the night view of the entire country.
I shot the light show of the Supertree Grove from the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands at 7:45 PM. It twinkled like bulbs changing colors one after another — the view was beautiful and expansive.
After watching the Supertree light show, I immediately rushed downstairs to catch the 8 PM water screen show.

I think half the value of Marina Bay Sands is its rooftop pool, the other half is the spectacular city night view from the room, plus the convenience of getting to the casino and water screen show, as well as the nearby Gardens by the Bay.

Little did I know I had the wrong location — the show wasn’t under the Sands but on the seaside platform in front of the Shopping Mall. By the time I got to the right spot, the water screen show had already ended, so I had to wait for the 9:30 PM session.
