The Kaohsiung MRT’s “Snoopy Painted Train” is now in service – Kids ride free on Children’s Day in Snoopy costumes

The globally beloved cartoon character Snoopy (SNOOPY) is turning 65 this year！ To coincide with the upcoming Children’s Day, Kaohsiung MRT has launched a Snoopy painted train just before the holiday. On April 4, all children under 12 years old and general public wearing SNOOPY outfits can ride the Kaohsiung MRT for free！

At the press conference on the 3rd, the three main characters — Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy — who hadn’t been seen in Taiwan for 10 years, made a special appearance. Kaohsiung MRT stated that one themed painted train has been arranged on the Red Line and another on the Orange Line. The Red Line train features Snoopy and his friends as the theme, while the Orange Line train showcases images of Snoopy and his companions participating in various sports from the comics. Both painted trains will run until August 31 in conjunction with the “Into the Peanut Comics – SNOOPY 65th Anniversary Touring Exhibition” to be held at the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung this summer.
