Guam’s Largest Cultural Festival – The Micronesia Islands Fair Kicks Off on the 25th

The 2014 cultural festival, themed“Legends of Micronesia”
(Legends of Micronesia), the 27th Guam Micronesia Island Fair, will be held from April 25 to 27. The Guam Visitors Bureau stated that it looks forward to the gathering of outstanding artists from the Micronesian islands in the northwest Pacific once again on Guam to participate in the island’s biggest annual cultural celebration.

“Legends of Micronesia” is the theme of this year’s fair. “Legends play a very important part in our cultural identity. The lessons and wisdom conveyed through these stories have shaped the cultures of the Micronesian islands. We are honored to once again welcome our brothers and sisters to continue sharing our stories,” said Karl Pangelinan, General Manager of the Guam Visitors Bureau. He expressed hope that through the representatives of the Micronesian islands, more exciting performances would be brought to Guam residents and visitors, showcasing the diverse beauty of Micronesia.
